Editorial Standards
These standards describe how YieldCalcHub researches, writes, reviews, and maintains its published calculators and guides. Our goal is simple: every published page should be accurate, transparent about its assumptions, and useful for making a real decision.
Accuracy and Sourcing
Every published calculator and guide is built from primary sources. Tax tools cite the specific IRS publications, Revenue Procedures, and SSA announcements they rely on. Marketplace fee tools cite the official published fee schedules from the platforms themselves. We do not base formulas on second-hand summaries when the original source is available. Each page lists the data points it uses, the values applied, and where those values came from.
Transparency
Every published calculator shows its formula and lets you see and adjust the key assumptions. We do not hide default values or bury the math. Where a calculation involves a judgment call, we explain the choice and pick conservative values that do not overstate results.
Review and Maintenance
Each published page carries a "last reviewed" date and the name of the team responsible for it. Tax tools are reviewed annually when the IRS publishes updated parameters, typically in the autumn for the following tax year. Fee tools are reviewed when platforms announce pricing changes. When we update a calculation, the reviewed date is refreshed.
Editorial Independence
Our calculations and content are never influenced by advertisers or commercial partners. If display advertising is added in the future, it will be clearly labeled and visually separated from calculator tools and results. Advertisers cannot influence our formulas, default values, or written content. See our Advertising Disclosure for details.
Corrections
If you find an error, we want to know. We treat accuracy reports seriously and correct verified errors promptly. When we make a material correction to a calculation, we update the page and its reviewed date. You can reach us through our Contact page.
Limitations
Our tools provide estimates for educational and informational purposes only. They are not tax, financial, or legal advice. Every published calculator includes a limitations section explaining what it does not account for. We always recommend consulting a qualified professional for decisions that affect your taxes or finances.
